Mononymously known as Asin, the former actress and model Asin Thottumkal is a fascinating character whose following of fans still wait for news of her and follow her social media pages though there has not been an update posted since February 2017. According to tradition, her name was supposed to be Mary but her father favored the beautiful meaning behind the name Asin, with the A in Sanskrit translating to without’ and the word sin from English. Asin has been quoted as saying the meaning of her name is “pure and without blemish”.
Asin chose to retire after marrying Rahul Sharma in 2016.
Asin is not only a member of the Bollywood 100 Crore Club, but she had been frequently referred to as the Queen of Kollywood during 2007.
