Rakul Preet Singh is an actress and model. She was born on 10th October 1990. Preet Singh plays roles in Telugu films though she has appeared in several Tamil, Kannada and Hindi films.

Rakul started her modelling assignments while she was in college. While still modelling she made her first acting debut in the Kanadda film Gilli in 2009. In 2011, Rakul participated in Femina Miss India pageant where she was placed fifth and she also won five pageant titles that includes the �Miss India People’s Choice’.
She chose to be a full-time Telugu actress where she made a Telugu debut in Keratam. In the following year she made a Tamil debut in the film Thadaiyara Thakka. In the year 2014 she made her Bollywood debut in the film Yaariyan where her performance was well received. The film was directed by Divya Kumar.
Preet Singh played a role in a commercially successful Telugu films that include the Venkatadri Express produced in 2013, Current Theega in 2014 and Loukyam also in 2014. These movies promoted her career opening up opportunities to bigger projects in the film industry. She played roles in successful movies such Kick 2 in 2015, Bruce Lee also in2015, Nannaku Prematho, Sarrainodu and Dhruva in 2016. After the production of Venkatadri, she was nominated for the Best Actress at the 61st Filmware Awards South.
Rakul has played roles with well-known actors such as Sai Dharam Tej and Mahesh Babu. In September 2016, she signed for a Telugu film that was directed by Kaylan Krishna where she starred with Naga Chaitanya. Later in December 2016, she signed for her latest film Theeran Athikaram Ondru where she stars opposite Karthi.
After the production of several successful movies, she has been established as one of the leading actresses in Telugu Cinema.
Rakul is said to have opened a gym called F45 in Gachibowli Hyderabad. She lives in Hyderabad with her parents.
